QUEEROLOGY

QUEEROLOGY method

Michael(a) start their movement research “QUEEROLOGY” in 2019 to play a pivotal role in connecting people and in building a more cohesive and open society.

‘QUEEROLOGY: movement research’ is a generative movement tool that assists us to heal our traumas. In order to address our trauma, we need to establish a safe space.

“QUEEROLOGY: movement research” aims to bridge the gaps between people and improve the quality of what seems to be often flawed human communication, to break our understanding to binaries and to fined new ways to release the tension of our traumas.

By applying a poetic and often metaphorical language, Michael(a) found out that movement reveals an inherent awkwardness, a gender that echoes our own vulnerabilities. It challenges the binaries we continue to reconstruct between self and others.

After warming up the body and making it ready to extract feelings and situations from it, comes the research of a feeling (love and let it go, anger and how to channel it, joyfulness and the pleasure of sadness, ……). Working along with the psychology of the mind and inherent it in the body to go through its layers, focusing on the ability to connect to our inner-self beyond the presumptions of gender and moving. Creating stories inside the body to sense clarity & awareness in measuring how much or how little we exert force.
